Hong Kong Blind Union was established in 1964. We are the first self-help group organized and managed by people with visual impairment. We aim at promoting the spirit of self-help and mutual-help as well as striving for equality, opportunities and independence for visually impaired persons. We provide diversified services including social and recreational services, education and employment support, information technology training and development for visually impaired people in Hong Kong. Meanwhile, we have been striving for reasonable and equal rights for people with visual impairment and advocate policies to encourage visually impaired persons to enjoy equal participation in social affairs.
